Announcing the IDEO + CoinList Hackathon

We’re excited to announce that we’re supporting a hackathon hosted by IDEO CoLab!

What this is

Coinlist and IDEO are hosting a hackathon with the help of top blockchain protocols. We’ll be there along with Oasis, Stellar, Tezos, and Ethereum to support the creation of blockchain apps that are useful and useable. The hackathon will run from August 5th to October 4th. You can read the details about the hackathon in IDEO CoLab’s blog post.

There will be a workshop that we’re hosting on August 5th, at 5:00 PT. This workshop will help you get set up for the hackathon, and learn how to rapidly build a POC. We highly recommend coming to the workshop to get a leg up in the competition.

Hackathon Details

The focus of the hackathon is on building intuitively usable products that solve real challenges. To that end, the hackathon goes beyond technical development and also challenges participants to take their products to market.

Timeline

• Thursday, July 25 — Hackathon announcement
• Monday, August 5 — Hackathon starts
• Monday, September 9 — Adoptathon starts
• Sunday, September 22 — Hackathon and Adoptathon end
• Friday, October 4 — Winners announced

Prizes

There are over $25,000 in cash prizes available and a number of unique experiences including tickets to conferences like DevCon and an invitation to become an IDEO CoLab Resident in SF or Boston.
